Residents
are responsible for keeping their balconies and patios clean, free

furniture manufactured for outside purposes may be kept on balconies
Balconies and patios may not be used as storage areas. Bikes, toys, boxes, crates, or other items may not be kept on balconies or patios. Nor may barbecues be stored on balconies. Bike racks are available for bicycles. Personal possessions of residents must be kept in condo or storage locker.
The Association is not responsible for any item damaged, lost, or stolen from balconies or patios. Residents should call the police and make a report.
Clothing, carpeting, laundry, towels, bathing suits, etc. may not be hung on balconies, patios, in windows, or on bushes or trees to air dry.
Balconies and patios may not be enclosed, carpeted, or altered in any way without Board approval.
Christmas lights, decorations, and all other holiday decorations must be removed no later than 30 days after the holiday. The American flag may be displayed at any time.
No awnings, sunshades, canopies, trellises, shutters, radio or television antennae are to be affixed or laced in, through, or upon an exterior wall, door, window, or roof WITHOUT WRITTEN PERMISSION from the Board.
Air conditions may not be installed in bedroom windows. For reasons of safety, operation of gas or charcoal grills is limited to first floor patios only. OUTDOOR COOKING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED ON BALCONIES as mandated by the City of West Chicago.
CHARCOAL LIGHTER FLUID, KEROSENE, AND OTHER FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS, OR GASOLINE CANS MAY NOT BE STORED ON PATIOS, BALCONIES, OR IN STORAGE LOCKERS.
Unit owners are responsible for keeping patio and window screens in good repair. This is also true of windows and patio doors. If any of these need to be replaced they MUST BE REPLACED WITH THE TYPE USED HERE AT AUTUMNCREST.
Bedroom windows and glass patio doors must have standard window coverings.
It is highly recommended, in the interest of safety, that children under the age of 10 may not be left unsupervised on a balcony.
By ordinance of the City of West Chicago screens must be on windows from May 1 - October 1.
