Pool rules

The pool will be open on Saturday May 27th 2006 at 10am

The swimming pool is provided for the mutual enjoyment of all. Please observe these rules as they are intended to provide protection of our Property and residents.

All activities by Unit Owners and tenants in and around the swimming pool will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the state and local public health departments and with any other applicable laws. In particular, the provisions contained in Circular 4.102, entitled Minimum Sanitary Requirements for the Design and Operation of Swimming Pools and Bathing Beaches (1981), as published by the State of Illinois, Department of Public Health, Consumer Health Protection, Division of Swimming Pools arid Regulations, or the most recent edition thereof will control the activities which are permitted within the swimming pool and any surrounding areas. Many of the provisions below are identical with those contained in Rule 19.00 of Circular 4.102, which also provides for the adoption of other rules advisable for the health and safety of the persons using the pool.

Regular operating hours of the pool are established by the Board from year to year. In general, the swimming pool is open from Memorial Day until Labor Day. Pool hours are posted in the pool area. Residents will be informed of pool hours annually prior to the scheduled seasonal opening of the pool area. When unfavorable weather arises, the Board may close the pool at its discretion and will reopen it as weather conditions permit. The Board reserves the right to extend hours for special CCA activities.

THERE WILL BE NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. EVERYONE
SWIMS AT HIS OR HER OWN RISK. NO ONE IS TO ENTER
THE POOL AREA OR SWIM ALONE. NO ONE SHOULD BE
IN THE POOL AREA BEFORE OR AFTER REGULAR OPERATING HOURS.

Hair longer than shoulder length must be tied back or in a bathing cap in order to enter the pool. Bobby pins or hair pins, hair clips, etc., are not allowed to be worn while in the pool.

All persons are required to take a shower with soap and warm water before being allowed in the pool area. All oil-type sun lotion must be removed before entering the pool. Bathers who leave the pool area for any reason are required to shower before returning to the pool. Oils and lotions are harmful to the filtration system.

Residents must accompany and remain with their guests in the pool area.

No one under the age of 16 is allowed in the pool unless accompanied at all times by a responsible person 17 years of age or older. The Kiddie Pool is restricted for the use of children who must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Admission to the pool will be refused to all persons having any contagious disease, infectious condition, cold, fever, ringworm, open sore or any other condition which has the appearance of being infectious. Persons with any excessive sunburn, unhealed abrasion, bandage or medical gauze of any kind are also not permitted in the pool area, as well as any person under the influence of alcohol or exhibiting erratic behavior.

Residents and guests must sign the register provided upon entering the pool and assume individual risk for himself and for any
accompanying minor.

Diapered children with rubber pants may swim in the baby pool ONLY. They are not permitted in the big pool. Toys for the wading pool must float with a minimum diameter of 7 inches (7"). These toys are not allowed in the big pool. Toilet-trained children of any age accompanied by an adult are permitted in the big pool.

Personal conduct within the pool area must be such that the safety of self and others is not jeopardized.

Boats and inflated rafts are not permitted in the pool.

No diving is permitted anywhere in the pool at any time.

Spitting, spouting of water or other activities which may introduce bacteria or other contaminants into the pool are not permitted.

NO GLASS IS PERMITTED. All lotions must be in plastic containers. Soap or other materials which might create hazardous conditions or interfere with efficient operation of the swimming pool are not permitted in the pool or on the pool deck.

Food or drink is permitted only in the designated fenced area, No alcoholic beverages are permitted in the pool area. Drinking of water from plastic containers is only permitted on the deck area as long as you are ten feet (10') away from the pool.

Only battery-operated radios, cassette players, etc., with earphones are permitted in the designated pool areas. No A.C. powered electrical appliances are allowed in the pool area. Anyone disturbing others will be asked to keep audio players at low volume.

All apparel worn in the pool will be clean and sanitary. As such, swimming suits must be worn by everyone using the pool. No street clothing, including cutoffs, street shorts and halter tops will be permitted.

People in street shoes are not allowed in the pool, on the pooi deck or in any "wet" areas in the vicinity of the pool. Only rubber or soft soled shoes are allowed in the pool area. Hard soles may damage the deck finish.

Chairs, lounges, equipment, etc., that are purchased and/or owned by the CCA are for the use of residents. Guests may use such equipment only if residents are not using it. On weekends, residents are requested to bring chairs for their guests. Chairs must be plastic based, NEVER METAL, to protect the deck surface.

Sunbathers must use towels to protect furniture from suntan oil.

All residents and their guests are responsible for keeping the pool, pool area, showers, changing rooms and pool building clean.

No pets are allowed in the pool area at any time.

When leaving the pool area, users are responsible for removal of all articles brought by them. All articles belonging to the Association are to be returned to the appropriate storage area.

No climbing on fences is allowed.

Pool Deck/Private Parties

Private parties on the pool deck are allowed provided these rules are adhered to.

Only Resident Owners may sponsor private parties and must be in attendance with their guests. The following stipulations must be observed for all Owners wishing to use the designated areas of the pool deck for private parties:

The amount of the security deposit and use of the Pool Deck (hereafter referred to as "Specified Area") will be established from time to time by the Board.

Designated areas of the Specified Area may be reserved for a private party by submitting an application to the Board of Directors. Reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. (See Exhibit 1, Application for Use of CCA Pool Deck.)

The Board reserves the right to limit the number of persons allowed in the Specified Area.

A security deposit will be required, which will be returned within ten (10) days of date requested for use of the Specified Area if the Specified Area is cleaned and left in good condition before 9:00 am. of the day following the party. The security deposit for use of the Specified Area must be submitted along with the application to reserve said area.

The Unit Owner who reserves the Specified Area is responsible for any damage which is caused to any portion of the Property which is caused by anyone at the party. Any damage to any of the areas in the immediate vicinity of the party will be assumed to have been caused by a guest at the party unless the damage has been noted in writing on the application in advance of the time the party begins. Any damage and labor charges necessary to repair damage will first be deducted from the security deposit, and any additional damage will be assessed to the Unit Owner as a Common Expense.

All Unit Owners who use the Specified Area are required to comply with all applicable laws in addition to the Rules and Regulations. Any Unit Owner who fails to insure that there is compliance with the Dram Shop Act or other applicable laws will be fully liable for any claim or liability which arises from such failure.

The hours during which the Specified Area may be used are limited to 2:00 p m. to 8 00 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday nights and 2:00 p m. to 9:00 p m. on Friday and Saturday nights.

Failure to comply with the above rules may result in denial of further applications to use the pool deck.
