Speed Limit

Shorewood consists of three parking areas. the parking areas and fire lands are very congested, as such automobiles should proceed through them with caution never exceeding 15 miles per hour.  In addition, no driver training is permitted in the park lot lanes.

Each unit is allowed to park one (1) vehicle in an assigned parking space. If a vehicle is parked in an incorrect assigned parking space it will be towed immediately and a fine of$25.00 will be imposed to the offending unit. Parking in the clubhouse lot is prohibited from Friday through Sunday, as these are the dates that the clubhouse is rented out for parties. The curbs, which have been painted yellow, are designated as "fire lanes" which must be kept free of cards at all times.  Cars will be towed if parked by yellow lines.. If violations are notices, a reminder to the offender will be posted on the car. For frequent offenders, the city of Glendale Heights is authorized to issue citations for parking cars in the fire lane or near the fire hydrants. In addition to the the very real hazard, parking in the fire lane make it very difficult for your neighbors to enter or exit the parking areas.  no parking of motorized vehicles is permitted on the lawn area or patio areas.

During the course of the winter months (November - April) tow parking stalls will be noted by each dumpster area on the north side of the property for the snow to be plowed.  Should the signs be removed and a vehicle parked in such spots they will be towed at the owner's expense.

Other Vehicles
Recreation vehicles (including campers, trailers or boats) may not be brought into Shorewood except for loading, unloading and in accordance with Village Ordinance 24-8.3 may not be parked outside overnight. Dune buggies and snowmobiles may not be driven on the property. Vehicles carrying automobile license plates shall be considered automobiles.

Guest Parking Stalls
Guest parking is available near each of the buildings as posted. Cars in the spaces must be parked in marked stalls and must occupy only one (1) stall. Vehicles parked in guest spaces must have a current license plates and must be moved at least once within a 14 day time period to permit use by others and facilitate snow removal in the winter. Vehicles in violation of this rule will be towed at the owner's/resident's expense. Violations of these rules for use of guest parking stalls will subject the vehicle owner or unit owner to a fine of $25.00 per occurrence. 

General
Vehicles without current license plates will be towed away.  Abandoned vehicles or vehicles with flat tires or vehicles on jacks will be towed away.

No major vehicle repairs are to be performed in the parking areas.

Unit owners must inform their guests/tenants of the proper place to park their car.  Violations of parking rules by a unit owner's guest will be considered as a violation by the unit owner.

No washing or vacuuming of vehicles is to be done in the parking areas.  No parking is permitted on any of the parking lot islands.

It is emphasized that the Board has the right and will exercise their right to tow vehicles off the property that are in violation.

All towing fees are the responsibility of the owner and not the Association.

All owners/residents must display a Shorewood Condominium Association parking identification in the lower right hand side, rear window of the vehicle.  If the Association is using the hanging tag system it must be displayed on the rear view mirror.  If no Association parking permit is displayed the vehicle will be towed from the Association at the owner's expense.  Lost or stolen parking ident tags will be replaced at a cost of $5.00 per tag.

All guests of Shorewood Condominium Association must park in designated guests parking stalls and a guest pass must be displayed on the front driver's side dashboard.  Please not that guest-parking pass for longer than a day, you must notify management, or the vehicle is subject to be towed.

Any violation of the rules above my be subjected to fines.

At closing the homeowner should receive two parking identification tags from the owners.  There is a $50.00 per tag replacement cost.
