The intent of this section is to make maintenance of pets consistent with your neighbor’s right to enjoy his/her property.

A. All pets must be leashed and attended in accordance with Village Ordinances.

B. No more than 2 dogs/2 cats, or one of each will be allowed per unit.  Certain exceptions may be made to this rule upon application to the Management Company.  Homeowners may apply to the Management Company for temporary permission to maintain more than two pets for short periods of time (e.g., caring for a relative’s pet(s) while they are on vacation).

C. All pets must be licensed per Village Ordinance.

D. Tethering of pets is not permitted per Village Ordinance.

E.  Landscaping damage caused by a Homeowner’s pet(s) will be repaired at the expense of the Homeowner involved.

F. The owner of each pet is responsible for immediately cleaning any dirt or soiling caused by the pet per Village Ordinance. Homeowners are encouraged to curb pets; pets should be walked on sodded parkways.  Cat litter must be placed  in a securely tied plastic bag.

G.  Proper consideration must be extended to your neighbors by restraining barking dogs.

H. Appropriate action will be taken against the owner of any pet(s) causing any continuing nuisance or disturbance.

I. A Homeowner is responsible for the pet(s) of anyone living or visiting his/her unit.
